Ah Dear Reader,  Now as many of you noticed I have been running HD Spank on the Updates of the week without (gasp) a review.  Now I usually don’t do that,  but there are a couple of reasons I broke my rule.  First and Foremost,  The site is run by the folks at Xerotics who over the time I have been a blogger they have been known for some excellent material.  Second,  I know these guys and they have never been dishonest with me.  and Third I have gone though the site and just by looking at it I know anyone who value Your Humble Narrator’s  opinion would be hard pressed to be disappointed if I indeed recommended this site.  But today I correct this and give you Dear Reader a review of HD Spank

Site offerings and Cost
HD Spank’s main draw is quality Dear Reader with a capital Q.  As you know I have been on the film quality bandwagon for quite some time.  Yes it takes up a ton of bandwidth,  Yes it takes 40 minutes to download,  Yes, I probably need another harddrive to hold all this wonderful spanking material.  But in this day and age,  Many of us want to view our spanking in a clear,  blemish free, non grainy way.  And in this department HD Spank delivers with a vengeance.  Besides Dear Reader now that I am once again single the first thing I did was go out and buy the most obscenely large television and dammit Your Humble Narrator wants to view his spanking material on it!

As you can probably tell in my preamble HD Spank is primarily about movies.  Specifically ones that run in true High Definition and in that department this site delivers.  They do have some pictures as well but more of an afterthought then a theme.  The one thing that drives me nuts as a blogger however they seem to like to post the pictures after the movies is finished.  Forcing your hard working Brushstrokes to download the movie and make my own screencaps.  but that’s another issue.  Updates consist of "part" of a HD movie which at this quality one can expect.  Each movie "usually" consists of 3 to 4 "parts" with a full download available once they complete the movie which at these bitrates I am quite thankful. 

At the time of this review I counted 30 "full" movies and another 7 "short" movies.  The "full" movies run roughly around 11 minutes average where the "short" movies run about 4 minutes or so.  At that rate one can expect almost 6 Hours of glorious high definition spanking ready to be streamed to whatever television in your home suits your fancy. 

Costs are surprisingly reasonable since this site is based out the UK and since those of us in the US will soon be trading in large round rocks the way the dollar is going. For a one month membership costs run 18.95 euro’s.  To those of us in the United States who’s money isn’t printed in funny colors that a bit under $30.00 for a full month membership.  If you choose the 6 month membership you would be talking 9.66 euro’s or a tad over $15 bucks.  Quite reasonable in my opinion.  At the monthly cost you would be talking being treated to High Definition Spanking in all its glory for roughly 2 bucks per Hour. Not the cheapest by all means but right now a leader in cost for the lovely spankings in High Definition. 

The Girls
Originality is not HD Spank strong point.  If you have joined any of the Xerotics sites in the past its likely that you have seen a few of these movies already.  But if you have a favorite Xerotics model from SpankPass, Spanking Mags, Spanked Schoolgirls Fetish Flixx’s or any of the others its likely that she is already here or will soon be.  Some of you of course would lament about the lack of new material.  But I applaud them Dear Reader.  Xerotics has made their wonderful backlist much more valuable by upping the resolution thus acting as a value add site.  No one Dear Reader wants to see Spanking Sites go under in these tough times and I support and applaud them for thinking outside of the box and delivering their older material in significantly higher quality for which I for one would gladly pay for. 

The Girls as you can imagine are many of the perfect specimens that have received rather hard spankings from Xerotics’ past and present.  There is the deer in the headlights Stanton.  The incredible Elle Maye (who is apparently working on another non-spanking site which I would love to know what which one it is).  The Ravishing Redhead Justine and of course one of their newer models Jodie.  Just to name a few.  But trust me not! Dear Reader see for yourself.

Scenes, Outfits, Film Quality and of course the Spanking.
Well to get this out of the way Dear Reader, The film quality is probably one of the best on the Internet.  This is full true High Definition which I am not sure you could ask (or want) more unless you want to examine some mole on a models rear in closer detail.  At full screen on my 24" monitor the quality blows you away.  For those who have an Xbox 360 one can also download a program to stream this wonderful bun beating to the television.  (I am sure there are other ways, but Yours Truly is presently addicted to GTA4).

Scenes and outfits are the typical spanking fare with a healthy focus on schoolgirls as the English are known for.  There is a good mix of M/f and F/f with a slight advantage to M/f type spankings,  As for the scenes you have your typical Headmaster/student, Father/Daughter, Mother/Daughter, and a few roommate scenes.  Nice diversity here but nothing groundbreaking. 

Xerotics Spankings are Happily based upon OTK or similar Domestic spankings which of course is my favorite.  Of course being English there are a number of slippering scenes (something I never understood).  Nice emphases on the cane as well. 

So did I like the site.  Absolutely!  Being a film quality nut this site really hit home of what the Internet is capable of delivering.  Hopefully not so long into the future all of our beloved spanking material will be delivered like this. 

Who will NOT like this site
I would have to say for the beginners out there you might want to hold off a bit and begin your collection with a site that has more of a backlist to offer.  Plus if your a Xerotics fan and the older quality is sufficient for your tastes you might want to take a pass on HD Spank.

Who will LOVE this Site
For one anyone who loves the spanking of pretty girls.  Particularly if your interested in the highest quality one can have.  For those with a Xbox 360 who desire to stream spanking goodness to ones high def ridiculously large television then this is definitely worth a try.  (FYI don’t try to do it wirelessly.  you need a hardline to from the Xbox to the computer (via the router).  Finally if you want to see the Xerotics girls in all their glory then I think you would be hard pressed to dislike HD Spank

In a Report I read last night Dear Reader,  an independent institution pretty much told us our education in math in US schools is abysmal.  While this may not be a shock to most,  it does bring up an alarming question.  Our fetish is probably the only one that relies on a firm grasp of number.  What are we to do Dear Reader when the pretty girl over our knee cannot count the spanks she is getting or if she looks at you quixotically when you tell her she is to get two sets of 6 with the cane because she has made two transgressions!  This of course rings true of the upcoming spankers,  How else can one calculate the optimal punishment for the error of the spankee’s ways other then using good old math. 

Yes Dear Reader we face a crisis in this country.  To the spankers out there,  if you are faced with a girl without an understanding of simple arithmetic I suggest rather then concentrating on whatever issue offends you,  you buy a math book and do a bit of teaching.  For one,  it will do her good and second it makes for some very interesting scenario’s for which to spank  Ladies if you are indeed a bottom and your top has trouble with this subject perhaps its time to turn the tables for a while until your top can properly calculate how to punish you.

Before we finish the the Spanking Updates of the Week Today of course is Friday.  The 27th day of June.  Now if you know you need to punish (or get punished) 3 days from now.  and apply 3 strokes for every 12 hours how much spanking can you expect!

Being a avid Supreme Court watcher I often am glued to the news sites this time of year.  Today they decided that people in the United States are indeed allowed to have guns.  This is somewhat comforting Dear Reader since the Constitution is pretty clear on this matter.  Now don’t get me wrong Dear Reader,  I am no fan of projectile devices,  and I think I actually shot one once in my life with my uncle when I was 6 and I think gun control is a pretty good idea.  But the fact remains our founding fathers were pretty clear on this matter,  so clear in fact I am amazed at the time and money wasted to affirm what is generally clear to the average 8 year old. 

What I find amusing are the anti-gun advocates screaming "this will make us less safe!"  What they failed to realize is that the constitution is not there to keep us safe Dear Reader.  Its there to keep us Free.  With freedom comes risks including the possibility that Jimmy Joe Bob might blow his head off with his shotgun after 8 Milwaukee Best’s and trying to show off.  On the other hand if our nanny staters truly want to be safe then we should all lock ourselves in our homes and wrap ourselves in bubble wrap.  And then where would us spanking enthusiasts be?

What I would really like to see from the highest court in the land is to affirm Men’s right to spank the bottoms naughty women.  Now this Dear Reader would be a case that we all could enjoy.  But Sadly the writers of the Constitution did not appear to be spanko’s (well except for Franklin) and while they foresaw many issues into the future.  They definitely missed the need for women to be spanked. 

Well enough of my lesson in constitutional law.  It is indeed Thursday and that means while we may not have the constitutional right to spank women.  Spanking is definitely occurring on Spanking Updates of the Week.

Lupus Spanking has released their third installment of Two Faces of Truth.  This kind of makes me wonder if being bent over and caned vs being made to stand straight up is more painful or just as unpleasant.  But I kind of like it!  Plus if you enjoy lots of screaming when the cane makes its contact this girl is quite the noisy one and its unlikely its just acting.

October 1st 2006,  No one had ever heard of Obama, Jamie Lynn Spears was still a virgin, and The Spanking Spot was a fledgling spanking blog only 2 months old.  That was the last time Your Humble narrator ran a review of the venerable spanking site Firm Hand Spanking.  Much has occurred since then, Dear Reader,  and our wonderful sites grow and change.  I figured it would be about time to revisit one of the oldest and finest spanking sites on the Internet.

I’ll have to be honest with you Dear Reader,  When I first wrote this review I was a bit star struck.  You see,  this really was my first attempt at a review of a site I had loved for years.  Plus I had just landed interviews with Shannon Carson and Amy Dennison who were two of my favorite spankee’s.  Sadly,  Lovely Amy has left to better pastures recently though she gave us one last good farewell spanking.

Site Offerings and Cost
Firmhand spanking remains primarily a movie site with some nice high quality stills for supplemental enjoyment.  Also back in 2006 I mentioned this was a BIG site.  Well Dear Reader it has gotten alot bigger.  Their updates remain at 3 times a week.  If Dear Reader you stumbled over my blog back then and took Yours Truly’s advice and joined for a month.  It might be time to go back and check it out since they have added a eye popping 300 spanking movies since then.  Even more interesting is that the price has stayed the same over the past year and a half at a quite reasonable 24.95 per month membership.  That cost drops to 14.99 per month for a 6 month signup.

I never did the cost per hour calculation because this site is just unbelievably big and I would probably be here till next week trying to calculate them all.  However on their main page they list how many video’s are available which is stated at 689.  Assuming this is correct (and there is no reason to doubt it) at an average of 4 minutes apiece this would give you a mind numbing 45 HOURS of wonderful spanking to go though.  At the present price your talking a little over 50 cents per hour of spanking goodness,  and in these tough times Dear Reader its one of the best bangs for your buck (or euro).

They have also added quite a few new theme series to their lineup.  OTK Air Starring Samantha Woodley and Michelle Mcgowen,  Brat Camp with Chloe Elise, Born with it starring the delectable Abigail Whittaker just to name a few

The Girls
Oddly for all the work they have done in the past year and a half they have added precious few girls to the lineup.  The one thing I have always loved about FirmHand is that they used girls with little or no spanking experience for their earlier movies.  Perhaps I am just an old fuddy duddy but I fear that the industry has gravitated to simply hiring the spanking superstars rather then looking for new talent.  I can’t really fault the site since a number of them are doing it,  besides its much more cost effective to hire someone like Samantha Woodley for a shoot where you know she will be a true professional and take the spanking like a good girl rather then some unknown that might run screaming from the set holding her only partially spanked bottom.  It used to be that FirmHand worked with perhaps a dozen girls at the time giving us both variety and the lust for the unknown.  Now they deal mainly with “professionals”.  Now mind you Dear Reader its not that I don’t enjoy Samantha, Abigail Whittaker or Amelia Jane Rutherford with their rears held high receiving spankings.  No, that is a treat any day.  But I remember the first time I saw Karen Marshall get her first spanking and Dear Readers.  That spanking was real and the look on her face was true. You simply cannot act that.

But I suppose I cannot fault a site for going in the direction of its competitors.  And the girls are of course quite beautiful.  With such spanking talent as Kailee Robinson, Leia Ann Woods, Sierra Salem, Lizzy Madison, Madison Martin, Charlie Brandon, Krista Taylor , of course the aforementioned girls and new comer Courtni Kissell they still have a solid lineup of beautiful women who really need (and Get) a spanking.

Film Quality, Scenes, Outfits and of Course the Spankings!
Firmhand has recently upped their film quality quite a bit.  As an added Kudos to their innovation,  I think they might have cracked the quandary for site owners for what’s fair for the customer and what is cost effective for the site.  They issue all of their new movies in the older format at 640×480  768 kbs and their new format 1500 kbs.  BUT when they go into the archive they only keep the 768 kbs. Now David Pierson and I have had some friendly and spirited debates in the past about download quality with me arguing on the side of quality and he pointing out (rightly so) that many sites could not survive with the storage and bandwidth with such high quality.  Perhaps FirmHand has found a happy medium and an incentive for the customer to join for a longer term.  Regardless if it works or not I salute them for trying.

Scenes and outfits Firmhand has added quite a bit.  A new focus on schoolgirls is always welcome.  Plus the theme series have some GREAT outfits  (particularly OTK Air,  who wouldn’t want to spank a stewardess).  Though again being the lover of old time spankings I miss the father/daughter Uncle/Niece where they are simply spanked in their street clothes and tell the camera how much it hurt.  But on the other hand the production values have increased dramatically.

The Spankings as you can expect from FirmHand are HARD.  Not brutally so but hard enough I probably wouldn’t want to experience them.  Something however is lost with using almost exclusively professional spankee’s as I stated above.  They are beautiful and  take a good spanking but there is something to be said for the uncertainty of a non-professional getting her first butt beatings that I crave for

So do I still like the site?  I will be a member for many many more years and Dear Reader I will continue to bring you the updates from Firmhand as you truly deserve

My conclusion stands from 2006  barring the high Technical quality comment since they have addressed it with their new format.

I am not entirely sure who wouldn’t like this site. Perhaps if you demand very high technical quality video’s you might be disappointed

What better a way Dear Reader is there to start off the week then some delicious news from the spanking world to help us forget the $4.00/ gallon gas that we burned on the way to work courtesy of our village idiot turned world leader and his buddies.  As for my European readers I must apologize for sending the twit over there for his "farewell tour", or in his case "good riddance tour" for a full week.   but enough about the problems of the world. lets get down to some good old spanking

First it seems that the gentleman who created the classic animations for the Curious George character was quite a spanko before he was so unfortunately brutally murdered.  At the trial for the murder of Alan Shalleck were treated to sorted details of his "spanking parties" (men only,  not that there is anything wrong with that"  The first witness Rex Ditto who already plead guilty to his involvement in the murder told the jury that He, Shalleck and  Defendant Vincent Puglisi that on Superbowl Sunday three of them watched not football but Liza Minelli

Afterwards Shalleck and Ditto went into the bedroom where Shalleck administered a good old fashion OTK with a paddle to Mr Ditto’s presumably bare behind.  If the story is to be believed either the lack of a safe word or ignoring it lead to the unfortunate incident where Shalleck was murdered by 83 blunt force injuries to the head, 37 stab wounds and 43 defensive wounds.  Somewhat of overkill in my opinion for attempting to stop a spanking. (but perhaps not for sitting though a Liza Minelli special)  Interestingly enough however I always suspected that Curious George had some connection to spanking.  I know not why I believed this but it was a "gut feeling".  Perhaps Dear Reader we do have some "Spanking Radar" 

Ok,  enough with the sad news  onto more joyous things
