The last time Dear Reader I reviewed this site was way back in October 2006.  Much of course has happened since then so I figured it was time that Your Humble Narrator decided to check in to see how things were going.  Now when I last reviewed this Bars and Stripes I stated in my preamble that while  the site was good,  it really wasn’t Your Humble Narrator’s cup of tea.  Today two years later I am going to restate my position Dear Reader.  The massive amount of material they have added over the past 2 years has converted Yours Truly.  Bars and Stripes has grown on me like a creeping ivy and indeed they have won a convert. 

Site Offerings and Cost
Bars and Stripes as you might guess revolves around the goings on at a Woman’s Prison located in the far reaches of Scotland.  (kinda like the United Kingdom’s version of Siberia, but I kid my Scottish Friends).  The site is primarily a video site but they have a vast library of both screen shots and high quality stills of all of their material.  Bars and Stripes really shines however with their attention to detail and well developed back-story of the girls with sore bottoms that inhabit the prison.   Now initially Your Humble Narrator’s favorite spankee Leia Ann Woods was quite involved running with

Bars and Stripes.  This relationship however has ended however the more important thing is that you can still see her starring on the site. 

Costs back in 2006 ran $29.95 per month with a discount down to a little over $21 for a six month stint.  I had actually made a bit of an issue about wanting to see more of a discount for a six month membership.  Well Dear Reader I am happy to report that after 2 years, the devaluation of the American dollar and probably gigabytes worth of updates of their wonderful spanking content.  Their monthly membership remains exactly the same and they have dropped their 6 month membership so the cost averages $16.65.  I know not if it was because of my interview or just market forces but regardless my hats off to them. 

Bars and Stripes has continued their breakneck update schedule.  Its a little erratic but it comes to about 14 or 15 updates per month (one every other day).  And since they have continued this schedule since Oct 2006 this site has become huge.  In the previous review I had told you that there were 98 video’s at a cost of roughly $3.78 per hour at its most expensive monthly subscription.  Today however Bars and Stripes Sports 420 movie clips at about 5 minutes apiece dropping your cost down 85 cents per hour of spanking goodness! In two short years Bars and stripes has managed to grow their backlist to one of cheapest on the internet.  Again my hats off to them. 

The Girls
With most of the UK spanking stars making an appearance one time or another in this woman’s prison (Hey they get arrested alot!) makes Your Humble Narrator want to quit his day job for the union salary of the mundane yet enjoyable career in women prison guarding.  Unfortunately the women’s prisons in the states are not filled with woman we would want to spank Dear Reader (and I am sure a number that would spank us if they had the chance).  Just to name a few here Pandora Blake, Adele Haze, Amelia Jane Rutherford, Emma Brown, Jadie Reese, Amy Hunter, Dublin O’Brien, Honey Hardy, Zena Stones, Sarah Collins, Nikki Flynn and of course the Lovely Leia Ann Woods. All of the girls have detailed bio’s about why exactly they have landed in this dismal place which is a touch I loved back during my first review.   But enough Dear Reader See for yourself.

Scenes, Outfits, Film Quality and of Course The Spankings.

One of the things I like about Bars and Stripes is that while their theme limits somewhat the kind of scenes and outfits the site can offer.  Bars and Stripes gets very creative to go way beyond just spanking hot girls in cute red prison outfits.  Their Intake scenes offer us a welcome diversion to the prison theme and give us these girls spanked in their street clothes.  There is little if any domestic or schoolgirl themes as can be expected unless you count the spankings the girls get from their cell mate.

Now before I go on about the Film quality, I must rant about the one real negative on this site  the picture presentation!  I know this is probably a minor issue to you Dear Reader but as a webmaster that has to grab pictures week after week please humor me. They have this bizarre little popup that comes up when you click on the picture set with little tiny thumbnails.  When you click on a thumbnail it gets populated in a slightly larger box.  In order to get the picture in its full form you have to click on enlarge and then it opens up a new tab in your web browser that you then have to go hunt for if you have too many windows open (as I usually do).  I must say Dear Reader this is the single most annoying format I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.  As I said Dear Reader it is a minor quibble from your standpoint but it drives your Humble Narrator nuts!

The movies are offered in high quality wmv format and a lower quality for those on dialup,  both to tell you the truth are quite respectable.  The higher quality at 720 by 576 is quite good but isn’t High Definition but then again that is not the industry norm (yet). I think they have a few more years before they need to upgrade.  They are filmed well with good angles of both the model’s face and their poor bottom being Spanked.

The Spankings are quite hard with a noticeable increase in the force that these girls bottoms are beaten since the last review.  Also Dear Reader.  In 2006 I stated that there was little in the way of OTK spanking.  Well Dear Reader, Your Humble Narrator is delighted to report that indeed OTK is now a staple in the disciplinary actions at Bars and Stripes.  While not a overwhelming theme there is more then enough to keep Yours Truly interested and delighted. 

I didn’t do this back in 2006 since I was trying to keep The Spanking Spot opinion free (from myself) but as you have seen over the years I have abandon that.  So do I enjoy Bars and Stripes?  The answer Dear Reader is a resounding yes.  One of the things that I pointed out in the previous review is that their customer service and interactivity is second to none.  And Dear Reader it stays that way.

Who will NOT like This Site
In 2006 I said that anyone who enjoys predominantly OTK.  This is now false Dear Reader.  Bars and Stripes has really come a long way.  They offer now probably the most diverse mix of spanking that I have seen in a long while.  At this point I think I would be hard pressed to find a spanko who would be disappointed with their membership

Who will LOVE this site
Due to its size this is an excellent place to start your spanking collection to those just entering the scene.  There is a good mix of M/f and F/f here to help you decide what kind of Spankers you enjoy watching.  As for the veteran spanking collector Bars and Stripes will both titillate and delight you.  While It would be arrogant to suggest they changed because of my suggestions in 2006 I do applaud their changes regardless of the reason
