I was surfing around the internet this weekend I came across an article about how in between bouts of drinking and fighting Northern Ireland had finally permanently banned hare coursing. I found this of interest because a couple of weeks ago trying to find out things I can do with my Greyhound I came across this sport. For those of us in the states and are not familiar with this practice. You get a rabbit and let two “coursing dogs” (usually greyhounds) chase said rabbit and which ever dog catches it (if they do) wins. This practice was a rather popular sport around the UK and Ireland until some people decided it was rather mean to the rabbit and successfully ran a campaign to outlaw it across the UK although it is still practiced in Ireland. I then came to some animal rights groups sites which detailed the horror behind letting dogs chase rabbits because sometimes it results in a dead rabbit.
Now I am all for treating animals kindly but please people its a friggen rabbit. You might notice that anything that eats meat generally eats rabbits. Hence their ability to run fast and multiply like well… rabbits! Dogs have been chasing bunnies since there were dogs and bunnies. Hence how the sport evolved. Sometime in the dark past two people had a disagreement on who’s dog was faster so they found a rabbit and let their dogs chase it because that’s what dogs generally do. Now you don’t hear people complaining when you feed Mr Bunny to say a pet snake. Personally if I were a rabbit I would rather be chased by dogs rather than put in a cage with a snake since you have a pretty good chance of getting away. Plus of course rabbits are quite tasty!
Now before you accuse me of wanting to let my dog kill the Easter Bunny know that here in the states we have something called Lure Coursing which replaces the rabbit with a drag lure. Now lets get away from all this nonsense about rabbit welfare and start the Spanking Updates of the Week!

It indeed might be that our little redhead Allison Miller might be a product on one of our branches of armed forces. You see Dear Reader that the motto of our great US Coastguard is Semper Paratus or in English, always prepared. Allison has indeed taken this motto to heart for when she shows up at her uncles for her outlandish behavior she has taken the steps to wear three sets of panties under her tight jeans. So I was watching this documentary entitled Beyond Scared Straight. Scared Straight you might remember is when they took a bunch of little hoodlums and introduced them to the big house. This was much the same but this group were all at risk teen girls who had gotten in trouble and were brought to an all women’s prison. Now I will say it was effective as most of the girls subsequently stayed out of trouble but I couldn’t help thinking that this whole two day long production could have easily been taken care of in 15 minutes by a couple of good hard bare bottom spankings. I am indeed not sure what it is Dear Reader but I am absolutely enthralled with this girl Sammie on Real Life Spanking. She is absolutely beautiful. Now to get back to hare coursing for a minute, one of my favorite television cooks was actually convicted of attending an event. Clarissa Dickinson Wright. One half of the Two Fat Ladies cooking show was convicted a couple of years ago for being mean to a bunny. Now if you ever get the chance to watch these women cook their meals are indeed delicious and of course deadly with each recipe usually starting with “Take the butter, add it to the lard, and cover it with fat” In any case she was thankfully not spanked and only fined which is more than I can say for our lovely Caroline Grey who had to spend some lonely and sometimes painful time in Solitary. I guess for any place of employment using spanking to correct their employee’s the fact that they would submit themselves to such a punishment would indeed be a problem. That is why all applicants should indeed be spanked prior to being hired. This of course is not a problem for our pretty little Emma Brown. I just hope they give her a nice soft office chair. Surprisingly enough, and despite the anecdotal evidence to the contrary, it appears that "Scared Straight" programs have no statistically significant effect on later criminal acts, and in some studies there is even evidence that they actually increase the chances of serious offending. My personal theory on that last is that the programs demystify life on the inside just enough to make prison a little less of a deterrent if someone comes from a sufficiently screwed up background (i.e. is already at serious risk).
