Being a cat lover all my life and suddenly finding myself an owner of two dogs due to allergy reasons I do indeed have some questions. Now I am not going to sit here Dear Reader and muse about which is the better pet. Indeed it is a preference, some like the loyalty of a dog vs the fuck you and feed me attitude of cats.
The first question is how they decide where indeed to relieve themselves. From my perspective one place seems just as good as another. Particularly my female dog who has to pick just the right spot from a set of seemingly random criteria that only seems to make a difference to her. As for my male dog things are a little simpler. Number 1 is usually any upright object or upon any scent that might offend him. Number 2 is a little more complicated since he seems to demand a hill with his butt pointed down, perhaps for the gravity assist.
The second thing I ponder is about eating habits. Now with cats they tend to avoid most if not all things that are generally bad for them and indeed any food that they deem unworthy of their pallets. Dogs however will eat just about anything including and entire bottle of hot of hot pepper only to vomit it up on my couch. Now you would think after a mouthful of the stuff the dog would be running to her water bowl as soon as possible. Nope, she ate the whole damn thing.
