Despite Mother Nature insisting it is indeed sometime in March another rite of passage is upon us to remind us that Summer has started.  An event that brings both joy and fear to my fellow office dwellers,  the arrival of the college interns.  Joy Dear Reader since it gives us dirty old men something to look at and fear over spending the next 8 to 12 weeks finding menial tasks for them to do.  Oddly the interns this year are almost exclusively female.  In retrospect this gross imbalance of the sexes shouldn’t surprise Your Humble Narrator since he assigned the task to hire these interns this year to a single male who himself graduated college only a year ago. 

While educators praise the value of Internships the problem is with few exceptions they don’t actually know how to do anything.  Being Millennials further complicates the issues Dear Reader since they seem to be devoid of all magnitudes of responsibility and common sense.  Being between 18 and 21 ensures that your brains don’t quite work properly and I shudder at my staggering stupidity at that age.  But I simply don’t remember being that incredibly clueless Dear Reader.  This generation of children other then probably never in their life receiving a spanking have been carted too and fro by their doting parents.  These are first jobs for many of them!  As many of you Your humble Narrator had his first job at 13! 

So now Yours Truly is prepared to spend his days suggesting that cut off jeans with black stockings and fuck me pumps is perhaps not appropriate work attire and no their internet connections are not broken, our IT manager cut off access to Facebook, and no its not illegal or against OSHA standards.
