Frankly I’m amazed something hasn’t gone wrong sooner for Mood. Even though I’ve enjoyed watching excerpts from their videos from time to time, I’ve always wondered how Mood Pictures was able to legally produce such brutal content. They took the severity of the Lupus Pictures productions, doubled it, and at the same time did away with anything remotely resembling the artistry or humour of Lupus.
The fact that something is technically legal does not always mean that it’s ethical. and while I wonder whether the Hungarian authorities’ motives are sincere (a SWAT team? please!), I also suspect that Mood may have crossed the line in the ethics department. Depending on what version you believe, the Mood director ignored a safeword, put a total amateur in charge of caning a sub, or possibly even did both. None of these actions are ethical if they in fact occurred.
