What I am quite disappointed about however is the failure to legalize Marijuana. It seems that our friends in California will not be getting Spanked and Stoned any time soon (at least not legally). It seems to me that efforts to make a innocuous plant that has grown for millions of years illegal is quite silly. Particularly when its use has been well documented from the dawn of time. It is well documented that most of our founding fathers indulged such as Thomas Jefferson and George Washington. Hell even Jesus got stoned! (hey its in the bible, anointing oil called for 9 pounds of the stuff). Its been documented that it is safer than alcohol, impossible to overdose, non addictive. Perhaps the only risk is high blood pressure from all the Cheetos you stuffed in your face from the munchies.
The only reason its illegal is because paper manufacturers didn’t want the competition from Hemp growers and of course someone didn’t like the fact that black people got stoned. Does that seem to you Dear Reader a reason to spend millions upon millions arresting little old ladies with glaucoma for having a couple of bushes?
