Imagine for a second, you are someplace in Los Angeles. Sitting in a sidewalk cafe, sipping your double latte mocha with extra cream and feeling the ground shaking beneath your feet (doesn’t it always). When suddenly, Tall Gorgeous brown-eyed beauty walks by with the Girl Next door looks and one of the finest asses that has ever graced a pair of tight jeans . You just might have seen Shannon Carson from FirmHandSpanking. You’ll know definitely if you have to scrape your jaw off the ground! Shannon was kind enough to grace our site this week with an interview.

Shannon, Can you tell me the story on how you got into the business and decided to become a Spanking Model for Firmhand?
Firm Hand got in touch through a modeling site and invited me to shoot for them. I talked to them a lot about what was involved, they were so professional and cool about it all and there’s all sorts of safeguards for the models they work with so I was pretty confident about getting spanked. I figured, why not!!

I flew to the location with another model the day before we were due to shoot. We walked in to see Amy Denison and Laura Moore getting STRAPPED for another video! It looked pretty painful to me…hey what did I know There was a sort of gallery above the room where they were shooting, so we sat up there with our mouths open (but real quiet!) to watch while Amy and Laura did their shoot. That was my introduction to spanking!!! Then we met the other girls and they’re both lovely. I’ve worked with Amy a lot since of course.

How many movies have you done for them? Have you worked in the industry outside of Firmhand?I had to go and check!! Can’t remember! It’s NINE full-length features, and of course all my Shannon Carson Collection scenes. And I’ve spanked Amy and Samantha Woodley as well for their collections, which was fun! I did both Boot Camp movies, both the Legal Penalties, Bottom Line and Sports Camp ones, plus Military Justice. Amy was in all of them I think apart from Military Justice.

I’ve never worked for another spanking producer. I’ve been real happy working with Firm Hand, they’re a nice crew and always look after us real well, nice food, great locations, sore bottoms!!! Seriously, it makes a difference if you can have fun on a shoot and we always had fun, even though it’s hard work. Also they let me have an input to the scenes I was shooting, which is great.

How old were you when you made your first spanking scene?
It was June 2001, so I was nearly 22. Too old to be spanked for the first time? Nah!!!

Is there anything you do to prepare yourself before a scene?
I make sure I know what the scene involves and what I have to say. For the full-length features we have a detailed storyline but it’s not always shot in sequence, like a movie isn’t shot in sequence. We improvise the dialogue which is way funny sometimes, because you don’t know what the others are going to say. Sometimes they’re bratty or sassy, sometimes they’re contrite and submissive, and sometimes they don’t really say anything. So we laugh a lot!! With the scenes we shoot for my Collection, it’s different as I’m involved in how the scene is set up, even the punishment sometimes – not always unfortunately, or you’d never see that board smack my bottom again!!!

I sort out my clothes so I’ve got the right stuff to wear. And make sure I have Arnica cream and an ice pack standing by if I’m getting an implement, not just a hand spanking. I have to get psyched up if I’m getting paddled, I hate that board so much! I just want to bend over and get it over.

I remember one time in The Bottom Line there were four of us in that but Amy Denison was called out to be paddled in an early scene and we knew it was going to be hard. She knew as well, by the way, they never spring any surprises which I like. Anyway, she’s in this little plaid skirt and white panties and she bends over and grabs her ankles so quite a lot of her butt cheeks were not covered by panties. She’s getting wood almost on the bare!!

We had to stand and watch and it was like “BAM” really loud, it was a big school type paddle and Amy was like pushed up on her toes by the force of it. But she didn’t jump up. She’s amazing. She took five swats like that and never jumped up once. Her butt had marks on and she doesn’t usually mark that much.

The funny thing was when I saw the movie the camera catches our reactions to Amy being paddled. And me and Natasha Edwards actually turn away when the paddle smacks Amy’s butt. We couldn’t bear to watch. Those reactions were totally genuine. I think in the back of our minds there was the knowledge we were going to be paddled like that later on!!!! Ouch!!

Shannon, I’ve seen quite a few of your video’s (which are great by the way), A couple of Paddling scenes look like your almost about to lose it. Are they as painful as they appear on film?
All the paddling scenes are as painful as they appear on screen!!! If someone hasn’t had a wooden paddle smack their butt and thinks it’s easy – think again. Even better, try it. Bare!!!! I think the most memorable, apart from watching Amy getting swats, was when I took ten swats NUDE (no clothes at all!!!)
in Legal Penalties. I thought they were using the smaller board, but when I came on set the big board was there waiting. And I’m thinking TEN??!!

We start shooting the scene, there’s a setup where I’m told I’m going to be paddled and to get undressed. I got naked, told to put my hands on the table and bend over. My hearts going B..Boom B..Boom. I look in front of me and there’s a big mirror right there so they get every reaction when the paddle goes to work. No acting required, those reactions were real all right!!!

When I watched the playback, you can see how the paddle digs into my cheeks and there’s this big ripple up and down where it smacks. I thought ‘Thank goodness I’ve got some real padding back there!’

I got some great feedback from that scene, people seemed to like it so it was worth the effort!!

Has there ever been a time you had to stop the shooting because of the intensity of the spanking?
For sure!! The Legal Penalties paddling was one of them. I had I think two little breaks in there. Usually I prefer to go for it and not keep stopping, just get the swats done. But we get more than one punishment on a shoot day, it’s a whole sequence of punishments so you can get pretty sore. And that’s why they let you stop whenever you need to. Then carry on when your bottom’s cooled off a bit. Some people, like Amy, they will not stop as they don’t want their bottom to “cool off” and I only have a very short break, like maybe 15 seconds. Other models have longer breaks, it’s whatever works for each person. Firm Hand are always very sensitive about giving a model breaks and proper recovery time.

Can you tell me what its like on the set? Do you all go out afterward and sit on icepacks and sip Margarita’s?
I sit on icepacks DURING the shoot, there’s a couple of out-takes with girls sitting on icepacks, Sports Camp is one of them I think. Sometimes models fly in to shoot and then we got out and have a meal the night before or after the shoot, get some drinks down us. Numb those butts – I’m kidding!! I don’t hang out with other models as we don’t live anywhere near but I know Amy Denison real well, and Samantha Woodley, she’s cool, I’ve shot with them a lot. It’s pretty social onset, we get on and have fun, it’s about sharing the experience. We’re all getting spanked. The funny thing is if I’m the SPANKER then the other girl can have a slightly different attitude. It’s like ‘How hard is she going to spank?’!!!

Is there any one movie or scene you are particularly proud of?
I like a lot of the sequences in the Shannon Carson Collection, and I’m very fond of Legal Penalties because of the paddling scene. But my favorite is my first double feature, Boot Camp: Initiation and Boot Camp: Paying the Penalty. It was me, Amy Denison and Bridie Collins, a very cute new girl shooting her first spanking feature, she had amazing blonde hair down to her waist.

There was a scene early on where we were told to strip to our thongs and wait to be spanked! So there’s me, Amy and Bridie lined up topless and bare butt, we were standing in front of a window with a Venetian blind. I couldn’t help thinking what someone walking by would think if they opened the blind!! Hey, the entire crew were standing around behind us anyway! We were told to put our hands up above the window but poor Bridie was too short to reach. Amy’s 6ft and I’m 5ft 10in, but Bridie was like 5ft 4in!!! I think that’s the only video where Amy Denison appears topless. But the strangest thing was that this was Bridie and my FIRST EVER spanking. Amy had been spanked, strapped, and paddled before so she knew what to expect. But we didn’t!!!

Poor Bridie cried I think twice during a punishment scene. One time she was being held on Amy’s back, her feet were off the ground so she could be strapped. And the sting just got to her. But she carried on after a little break! The director was so cool about it, she was fine.

Now you have done some Top Scenes, How is that as a transition?
Difficult to start with . I just couldn’t spank hard enough! I think having been spanked so often I know how much it stings so I tended to go easy. And they’d stop and we’d talk about it, then I’d go harder! It was like I felt I had to apologize to the girl I was spanking. They gave me very careful training about using different implements, we practised on pillows “bent over” a sofa!!! It was so funny. But I think I’ve got a lot better at giving punishments now. Not brilliant, but better. I always tend to be too nice!!!

Do you let any of the models off easy when you are the top?
Yes, I have!! But the director will cut and say ‘We don’t want to have to shoot this over, so let’s wind up the action…’. The girl being spanked doesn’t want to shoot it over, so it’s better to get it right first time.

What is your favorite implement?
Hand isn’t an implement, right? I think the leather strap, the tawse, then. It’s a good sharp sting not an all-over whack like the board or the very intense sting of the cane.

What is your least favorite implement?
That’s easy! The wooden paddle. It smack such a large area of both buttocks, it’s a very deep, penetrating sting which burns twice, once on impact then a second later the REAL burn. 10 swats with that on the bare bottom and you know you’ve been soundly punished! I don’t like the cane either but that’s more about the whistling noise it makes than the sting. I’d take the cane over the paddle any day!!

Who is your favorite Spanker at Firmhand? Are there any that hit harder then others?
That’s difficult. I worked a lot with David Lyons, he was always considerate but he has a strong right arm!
I like working with someone who can handle dialogue and he could always hold a scene together even when I lost it!!! I haven’t worked with any of the new guys, so I’m not qualified to say who smacks harder. There’s a guy in the House Rules series looks like he’s a pretty tough spanker!!!

Do you prefer M/F or F/F spankings?
If I’m getting spanked I prefer it to be a guy. I’ve been spanked by females but it’s not the same. Sammie Wallen was pretty good. In Boot Camp and The Bottom Line movies. I think if it’s an older female that may work better for me.

What is your favorite spanking position and least if you have one.
Favorite is over the knee. Least favorite is bent over touching my toes!!! Don’t have to explain why.

Believe it or not I do have some female readers, Can you give any advice to any women thinking about getting into the industry?
Check out the content on different sites, then choose two you like and talk to them about what you’re interested in doing and what they want, then talk to at least one model who has worked for that site. Any site will give you a reference if they’re professional. I always felt confident working with Firm Hand, they’ve always looked after me, pay good bucks, and don’t shoot between your legs or anything like that!!
I know I won’t be compromised, which is important to me. Same with Amy, or Samantha Woodley.
We all trust Firm Hand and like working with them. Advice I’d give to any model is don’t do anything you’re not comfortable with at the time. If it doesn’t feel right, don’t do it. You can’t take it back afterwards!!

How much can a beginning spanking model expect to make?
That depends on how long the shoot is, or how many sequences they are doing, and the implements used. If you’re just getting a hand spanking you’re not going to get as much as if you can take the strap, paddle or cane. It’s also about if you’re a complete newcomer, or more experienced, and if you can act. Some producers need you to do dialogue, others really the girl walks in, gets punished and leaves. Talk to different producers and see what they’re offering. Make sure they pay travel expenses and lodging if you need it. Many don’t.

Do you have any special projects in the works?
No spanking projects right now, I have my regular work of course. We’ll have to see!

Do you watch any other spanking models? Do you admire one in particular?
I like Samantha Woodley, she’s very good, and Amelia Rutherford, she’s newer at Firm Hand and even taller than me and Amy!! Looks great. I don’t look at many other sites but I like Kaileee at RealSpankings, she’s cool. And Lizzy Madison, who’s doing House Rules with Samantha Woodley, she’s good too. She can spank hard as well!!!

Are you spanked by your significant other in your personal life? Did he know you were a spanking star before you started dating? How did you explain it to him?
No, I don’t get spanked at home. Never have! I told him I was doing spanking videos of course. Been doing it since 2001! He’s cool with it. Haven’t shot in a while though, but there’s lots more material still to come in my Collection.

Most people in the business say that their interest in spanking started at a very early age. Is this true for you as well?
Intrigued by doing a video. But I was never interested in spanking earlier, or if I was I never acted on it!
Some people I’ve spoken to, like Samantha Woodley, they appear to have been “born” with it or at least developed an early interest.

So when you’re not one of the sexiest models in the spanking industry what to you like to do?
I have a regular job like most people! I’ve done bondage modeling as well, which I like. And I love modern art and drawing.

So what’s in the future for Shannon Carson?
Excitement, adventure and success!!!! What else?

Is there anything you would like to say to your fans out there? There are quite a few of them!
It’s great to know that people like what I do! We work pretty hard shooting those spanking videos, and it’s cool to hear that fans like seeing me get spanked or paddled. Not the paddle! Anything but the paddle!!!
