Spanking Shame (revisited)

Welcome Dear Reader, I am indeed quite surprised. Years ago when I started The Spanking Spot, being a poor humble blogger I was looking for sites to partner with. One of the ones I really wanted was the GBS suite of sites. But unfortunately they at the time deemed The Spanking Spot weak and too puny for their time. Well Dear Reader times have indeed changed after I got a email a couple of days ago from a very nice lad inquiring about how they would join our merry band of spanking sites! I am indeed honored Dear Reader since the puniness of The Spanking Spot indeed has dissipated! So indeed to celebrate and welcome them to our merry band of spankers let us revisit a review of one of their fine sites and look forward to their inclusion on the Spanking Updates of the week.

We last left Spanking Shame in January 2008 and while I thought it was a decent spanking site, the spankings were indeed light and they were in the midst of upgrading much of their old movies to higher quality format which I thought was a great idea. Giving more value to your backlist is indeed a smart way to add value for your customers. Let us see how they progressed

Site offerings and Cost
Spanking Shame is unique in the spanking paysite world since it gives us a glimpse into the French world of spanking. Always known as lovers rather than fighters (and delightfully pissing off conservatives in the States). I have yet to come across another spanking paysite originating in the land of fine food and wine.

Spanking Shame is a conglomerate of spanking movies and pictures with probably a equal emphasis on both. They do have a TON of photo’s but not at the expense of the movies. One of the positives of Spanking Shame is that updates occur at breakneck speed. For the most part they are updating once ever two days with either a picture set or a movie “part” . At the end of the movie they do offer a full movie download which is quite nice (almost a must). but it does seem to be inconsistently implemented.

At the time of this writing I counted 110 movies either complete or varying stages of completion. Movie length is all over the place varying from 30 minutes to in excess of an hour. At the last review I estimated the average movie length at about 30 minutes this time with the addition of new material and the re-mastering of all the video’s (more about this later) . The average looks to be around the 40 minute mark for the sample I pulled down which would bring the viewer more than 73 HOURS of wonderful spanking in which one can enjoy.

If pictures is your thing, then you will indeed not be disappointed since each movie is accompanied by both stills and high quality photos of the shoot. More than 100 in each which will give you access to 1000’s of pictures for your collection.

At the last review the cost to join the site was $36.75/24.95 EU. Well good news Dear Reader, after more then a year and a half the price is indeed still the same. While a little expensive for us American’s we cannot expect a spanking site to do anything about the exchange rate. I had also complained during the last review that the discount for the 3, 6, and 12 month signups did not offer enough of a discount. And while The Spanking Spot’s puniness was all but assured at the time, they might have taken your Humble Narrator’s advice since they have now dropped the prices considerably. Something I indeed applaud. 3 month subscriptions now cost $23/16 per month and 6 months are deeply discounted down to $19.99/14 (they were $31/20 when I last reviewed it).

At its most expensive that would give a prospective customer a spanking to cost ratio of a tad over 50 cents per hour. (down from 86 cents per hour) An excellent deal indeed.

The Girls
The girls on this site are nothing short of gorgeous. They have quite a selection of them as well for the spanking connoisseur. For those that enjoy a little diversity they also have a bit of that with an Asian model or two getting their bottoms beaten. No big name spankee’s here (well they could be since I know frighteningly little about spanking in France). Many of the girls have that girl next door look that absolutely drives Your Humble Narrator wild. But take not my word for it, see for yourself.

Film Quality, Outfits, Scenes and of course The Spankings
They have since my last review successfully re-mastered all of their older spanking scenes which I applaud Dear Reader. All are in DVD quality video now. The only poor mark they get is that the movies are still being released in Real Media format. I indeed have warned all the spanking sites in the past that I would be taking off points for this since in this day of media streaming devices right to your big screen television rm doesn’t play nice and it is indeed a dead format as far as I am concerned. Its time to switch to wmv or better yet MP4.

Being French one must expect the outfits and scenes to be a little weird (though not as weird as the Japanese) Besides this is the country that gave us The Red Balloon (that movie freaked me out as a kid) and Johnny Depp chooses to live there. The outfits while many are traditional Schoolgirl and domestic clothing can sometimes be wild and wonderful. They also have a healthy focus on knee socks which is always a favorite.

That brings us to the spankings, which to tell you the truth is the only real issue with this site. They are still light to moderately hard at best. They “seem” to have gotten a bit harder, and no one is asking them to spank like Dallas or Peter Schoober but at least in my opinion a good spanking should indeed be somewhat painful. On the plus side however there is a healthy focus on struggling before and during the spanking which many sites do not do. In reality of course what girl wants to get her bare bottom spanked of course they would struggle! But indeed here are a few to wet your appetite

So Dear Reader the bottom line is did I enjoy the site. Last time I said Eh, This time I will upgrade that to ok. The frustrating thing is if the spankers would just spank a little harder they would have a hell of a site here. Its huge, the girls are hot, The quality is decent. They are doing above and beyond for their customers. The only thing left is just to SPANK!

Who will NOT like this site.
Hard Spanking fans, still forget it. They seem to have graduated in some cases to moderately hard spankings but many of them will just frustrate you. Great looking girl, great position, but a weak spanking. They really need to get some people in there to teach them what spanking is all about

Who will LIKE this site.
There is alot of material that I have yet to see outside of this site. So you would probably like it if you are just starting out or a collector. The girls are indeed attractive. In spite of my complaint about the severity of the spankings they are spanked soundly and they are nice and long spankings as well. additionally the quick updates and the struggling red bottom is also a nice plus.
