Well Dear Reader the time is again upon us for the years Spanking Awards.  This year as you know we are going to do something a little different.  Instead of you nominating and me Picking them.  You yes YOU Dear Reader will decide who the Golden Buttocks Awards go to.  This is the moment all the hard working site owners out there have been working for and they anxiously await your vote!

Now a couple of things before we begin.  For starters we will not be awarding anything for the best new spanking site of the year.  Since there really wasn’t any.  Second, I failed in my attempt to find a voting package that would not show you the votes.  But they must be kept secret!  So I did manage to figure out how to mess up the number of votes it shows you.  So what you see IS NOT the true poll only of course I see that and the results will of course be announced after Christmas. 

So lets get on with it shall we.  This year we have a number of deserving sites for the title of Most Improved Spanking Website (blogs of course have their own category)  The websites were selected by your nominations Dear Reader so I don’t want to hear complaints the site so and so isn’t in there.

Perhaps the one biggest request I have gotten in the past few months from the myriad of mail that you Dear Readers has sent me is to request that I revisit the review of Girls Boarding School.  This of course is because they indeed have changed hands in the past year or so and quite honestly many of you expressed disappointment of one of the kings of Spanking Sites.  So today,  almost 2 years to the day since your humble narrator reviewed GBS we return to determine if Girls Boarding School is indeed the gem we found it.  

As I stated before the site has changed hands in the past year or so.  The date is hard to pin down since there were so many interim spankers on the site,  but your Humble Narrator guesses that it was at least before the first of the year.  This of course saddens me, Never again shall we hear the words of our tortured Tom “You Stupid Girrul”.  Never shall we revel in Tom’s frustration of girls who simply won’t follow the rules.  and even the lack of puniness brings a tear to Yours Truly eye.  The only happiness about this whole thing is the image of our poor frustrated Tom sipping a Mai Tai on a tropical island without a naughty schoolgirl in site. 

But Dear Reader unlike the Republicans in my fair country we cannot look to the past but embrace the future and Michael has taken over the reigns of Girls Boarding School.  A stern 30sh man whom I believe is Dutch (please feel free to correct me Dear Reader if this is not so).  Who brings his own flair to the spanking scene. 

Site offerings and Cost.
As in my original review this site is simply huge.  Even with the change of ownership all of the fantastic spanking that our long suffering Tom had created is of course still in place.  over 500 video’s in fact.  A impressive breadth of work for a lifetime of spanking.  For someone new to our little hobby this is truly a cornucopia of spanking history. 

Since of course we know excellence of GBS in regards to its historical material (if you wish to read about it you can find it here at my previous review of Girls Boarding school). Let us focus on the new material.  Previously though GBS we were treated to daily updates.  This sadly is no longer true.  It looks as if the site now offers update 2 to 3 times a week but that is to be expected with a change of hands while the new owner ramps up his production schedule.  While not optimal Your Humble Narrator understands the challenges of running a new site and will indeed give Michael a pass on this. 

Costs have risen slightly over the past 2 years.  Previously GBS’s month to month price was $29.99 per month at its most expensive.  The cost now runs at $34.95 which is not horrible considering the amount of material you have to access.  That cost drops to about $23 per month for a 3 month membership, $20 for a 6 month, and a measly $15 for a years subscription.  Furthermore you can also get access to GBS and 8 other sites for $99 though VIP Spanking

At the time of the last review the cost per hour was a ridiculously low 37 CENTS per spanking HOUR.  Since then they have almost doubled their video content and while the price has increased $5.00 The additional material more than makes up for the increase.  Without spending hours determining video length I can tell you Dear Reader that the price is much lower then 37 cents per hour (probably more like 20 cents per hour now).  When you get that low for fantastic material I would argue a few cents one way or another doesn’t make much of a difference. 

The Girls
While their spankings live on,  such mainstays of GBS are indeed in retirement.  Sophie, Jenny, Pony, Clare and Linda are all sadly gone.  Hopefully taught a lesson though their years at GBS and hopefully making some man very happy with their naughty antics.  But again let us not look to the past but to the future.  Right now It looks like our new Spanker Michael works with 4 models right now.  Molly a braided blonde with a knack for looking fantastic in a schoolgirl uniform, Simone a very unique looking (and young) naughty girl, Katherine, Carol who looks like she could be  Simone’s sister and of course the often naked Ellin.  All cute spankee’s in their own right.  But take not my word for it Dear Reader.  Look for yourself

Scenes, Film Quality, Outfits and of course the Spankings
We haven’t had enough time to see what scenes our new Spanker Michael seems to like.  For now it is indeed a nice mix of domestic and schoolgirl spankings. In addition there is a nice mix of implements and OTK hand spankings which of course makes your Humble Narrator quite happy.  Outfits of course mirror the spanking that are given.  I will say that Molly and Simone look fantastic in their schoolgirl garb and Elin with her long ponytail is a girl I would love to spank.  There also seems to be a healthy focus on Naked girls getting their spankings and while gorgeous girls in their birthday suits is always something I enjoy I find clothing (at least at first) enhances the spanking fantasy.  A spanked girl in a hot outfit and her panties down almost always trumps a naked girl in my book.  Feel free however to disagree.

Film quality is of course on par with most of the other sites out there.  GBS used to really push the envelope with regards to the quality, but unless GBS decides to go full High Definition there is little place to improve.  Normally I would of course be all for this but again I am going to give Michael the benefit of the doubt and let him concentrate on his content.  The quality is fine for now. 

Now many of you who wrote me felt that in regards to the spankings Girls Boarding school was going downhill.  I disagree,  and quite honestly I say give the guy a break!  For one trying to replace the venerable Headmaster Tom is akin to attempting to replace Elvis!  The man was a mainstay of hard spankings for years!  Michael has been running it for what, 6 months?  Give the man some time,  Rome was indeed not built in a day.

In the unlikely event that Michael or anyone that has been in touch with the powers that be at GBS I will however give them opinion on how to make their site better since the more spanking offerings out there,  the better it is for You Dear Reader.  First and foremost, I have noticed that they seem to like to shoot pictures but for whatever reason don’t offer the video.  This in Your Humble Narrator is a HUGE no no.  GBS has done this multiple times with what looks to be a excellent spanking of Molly and Simone.  In my experience it simply annoys customers.  If your going to post pictures,  make sure you have the video as well. 

Second,  well, SPANK HARDER,  Michaels spankings are quite respectable but he is indeed replacing an icon in the spanking world that has given us many of the hardest spankings seen on film.  If this was a startup spanking site his spankings might stand on its own,  but people will inevitably compare Michael with Tom,  and one must be prepared for that.  Watch some of Tom’s old video’s,  film a couple with your new girls (make sure they can take the spanking and if not find some other girls to work with). 

Third,  stop with the “Bonus video’s” from other sites.  or at least pare them down.  The past month they have shown two full video’s from Spanked at home,  which were indeed fantastic.  Unfortunately the material is better then what GBS has to offer right now which simply begs the question for the customer “why not join that other site” .  Do not get me wrong Dear Reader there is nothing wrong with showing other sites content as a promo (with their approval of course).  In fact I will probably start showing Spanked at Home again for that exact reason.  But it is not a replacement for exclusive spanking material.

All in all,  Is GBS as good as it was,  The answer is sadly no,  but I have not given up on it yet.  It HAS potential and I honestly want to see the new owner (or owners) succeed.  As I have said over the years,  the more spanking sites out there,  the better indeed for you Dear Reader,  and that is what The Spanking Spot is all about. 

Who will NOT like this site
If you have joined GBS in the past and expect the same,  I should probably say that you should think twice about it.  But the spankings offered in the new material are indeed up to snuff with regards to the rest of the spanking sites out there.  Michael and crew need to push it up a notch or two to stay competitive. 
Who will LOVE this site
I would recommend for the novice spanko just getting into spanking sites. They have a TON of material you can start your collection with.  The recent spankings are respectable,  but in order to continue the GBS reputation they need to get better pretty soon.  The jury is still out and and they are indeed in danger of becoming a run of the mill Spanking site sometime in the future.   I will indeed revisit GBS in some reasonable amount of time to see how they are doing.

Well since we will be all huddled in our houses before too long cowering from swine flu Dear Reader.  I guess I’ll have to start updating more often to keep you entertained!  What better way Dear Reader to start what is looking like a dismal week but with Your Humble Narrator’s pick for the Spanking Update of last week. I had to think about this one hard Dear Reader (like I do every week).  But this one just jumped out at me due to some excellent photography, A cute girl in pigtails and a well wielded carpet beater.  Now the actual movie spanking is not quite out yet so I guess this is a bit of a cheat.  But considering how she gets spanked OTK in the first part of the movie I am indeed looking forward to seeing the second half. 

Now it would be unfair to compare the new spanker on Girls Boarding School, Michael to our beloved and quite overworked Tom.  Tom has over the years of course spanked hundreds of girls for our delight.  But I would have to say Michael is doing a pretty good job so far.  This of course is unfortunate for pretty pigtailed Molly since I am sure that she would have preferred a much lighter spanking then she received.  The first part of this update was her in a schoolgirl outfit which wasn’t included in last weeks updates of the week.  But I am sure you would enjoy this none the less.  Plus of course her date with the Carpet Beater. 

Now lets get on with some Spanking Blog Love.  I haven’t done this in a while and figured it would be time to show you some new sites and a few old ones that have graced The Spanking Spot with a link or two over the past couple of months.  First no Blog love would be complete without me mentioning one of my favorite Blog’s and the king of all film related spankings my friend Chross the Spankologist and Chronologist.  He has graced Your Humble Narrator with links in his posts to Your Humble Narrator bringing a new set of Dear Readers who are more then welcome.  I thank him and truly enjoy his Blog. 

The next one I want to mention is a Spanker who posted a comment on my blog some days back.  I first thought it was spam but when I looked at his website I very much enjoyed it!  Spankoz Spanking Blog is a eclectic collection of some interesting spankings going on.  One that I will surely read again.

Sarah From Spanking Sarah has her own blog that I do want to mention.  She has asked for a link so many times and I have been simply too busy to mention her so once again I apologize.  She writes quite a bit and of course gets rather hard spankings which is something that we all enjoy.  You can find her at Sexy Spanking

Richard Windsor has got to be the Spanko Technophile on the web.  Blogging, Podcasting and now Twittering!  I actually thought about twittering but I figured that you would quickly grow tired of finding out how many times I use the bathroom each day or apply my spray on hair.  But thankfully Richard leaves out all of those nasty details.  Now if he only grew a third arm and could twitter during a spanking he is giving.  Now that would be an achievement. 

Aryon has been bringing the Spanking Spot to his Czech audience since this blog was started.  But unfortunately I do not read or speak Czech so he could be calling Yours Truly a sissy boy for all I know.  But then again I do tend to cry when I get splinters.

I need to come up with a better headline for this feature Dear Readers since it is about as dull as humanly possible.  But unfortunately Your Humble Narrators creative juices are occupied elsewhere.  This of course is where we get to point out one particular spanking update from last week that had just a little bit of a special something to it.  Just to steer you in the right direction if your on the fence about something.  So which did excite and amaze Yours Truly.

Sometimes Dear Reader you are in the mood for the cutting edge and sometimes you just want comfort.  Today is one of my comfort days,  A rainy cold damp day where you would like to curl up on your couch watch sports and eat come good home made soup.  What could be better as a comfort spanking then a simply schoolgirl OTK.  Meet our pigtailed Molly,  Molly decided to leave school “sick” the other day only to be spotted out and about in town that same evening.  Michael,  decides to give her a pop quiz on the geography lesson that she was supposed to be doing while she was at home nursing herself back to health.

Now being American I’ll have to say, we of all people probably should not be cracking on anyone who miserably fails a Geography Test.  This is of course most of us couldn’t find our capital on a map let alone yours.  This is of course because they just don’t teach it.  (besides,  we are America the world revolves around us!).  So while Molly might have thought Rome was in the Chez republic, and Kiev is the capital of Germany but I can assure you most of us over here are not much better.  The fact that she has gotten just about every answer wrong Dear Reader is quite amazing since 50% would be the average if she just guessed!   Michael will have none of this and decides to teach this little blonde tart a lesson. 

The spanking is a decent meat and potato’s kind of spanking.  Nothing fancy,  a simple otk with her skirt up and her panties down.  Hard but not brutal Michael teaches his lesson effectively leaving the view with more then enough to be satisfied.  On Molly’s side she has quite the spankable bottom and looks fantastic with her pigtail braids.

I don’t remember the girl scouts having punishments like the ones our beloved Peter Schoober depicts in this most strapping of strapping’s.  In fact I don’t recall any real punishments being applied to the girls in the green uniform.  I would have to imagine that any transgressions that they might have been involved in where more than forgiven from those yummy cookies that they deliver to our homes once a year.  Now not delivering the cookies now that’s grounds for getting a good hard spanking.  From Spanking Server.

Almost all the models I have had the pleasure to interview and speak with almost unanimously agree that when it comes to implements the wooden board is by for the most hated.  Among the spanking sites out there there are two sites that really utilize the board to its full potential.  One of those sites is Real Spanking or in this case their sister site Real Spanking Institute.  Monica bent over in her birthday suit experiences the board sans any kind of protection.  You can also see this on Real Spanking Pass.
 

Speaking of Sites that use the wooden paddle well the other one that came to mind is of course Firm Hand Spanking.  Now there is indeed no wooden paddle in Samantha Woodley’s most recent very naked spanking but the hand and leather paddle spanking she gets leaves nothing to be desired.  Sam is umm,  really really naked as well which is a site to behold any day.

There are really only two remedies when one is in this predicament.  You can opt to spank them like Alex does in our next update from Spanked at Home or divorce whence the spanking no longer has any effect as Your Humble Narrator chose to do.

Jessica of Spanking Teen Jessica fame was always one of my favorites.  Should she still be producing material today she would undoubtedly garner serious consideration for the Hardest Spanking category of the Golden Buttocks awards.  This also brings me to my other issue.  Jess was small,  so small that sometimes one would cringe getting spankings with the force she did.  Wherever she is I hope her tush is happy in its well deserved retirement.
