Before I begin Dear Reader I must apologize.  During the Updates of the week I had told you that I couldn’t remember if David Pierson told me if the Lovely Nyssa was Chinese or Vietnamese.  David told me neither Dear Reader! Nyssa is a Japanese American who has somewhat of a rural background since she calls herself a Japanese Redneck.  I know how offensive it can be to mistake the nationalities so again I must apologize for the error. 

Regardless of nationality Nyssa along with Paul Wilson wins our Wonderful Weekly Walloping! Now usually I wait until the scene is complete to compliment such a distinction but the first two parts (of 4) were so good and Punished Brats tends to finish their scenes up quickly so I guess I’ll violate my rule this week.

The People have spoken Dear Reader and we have a Tie!  A Tie you say?  Preposterous! Well Dear Reader I guess that is what Your Humble Narrator is here for.  To screw up the awards and break ties.  Honestly though Most improved is a tough Category this year.  Since we have discovered that supposedly “really smart” Harvard and Wharton grads learned basically how to control a really big Ponzi scheme in college and then get their friends and daddies to bail them out when the whole house of cards comes tumbling down.  You the consumer have been keeping a tight reign on your wallet.  Sometimes this is good for a particular industry Dear Reader.  It allows the risk takers and those with the vision to shine.  And That is what happened this year.  Almost without exception all the Spanking Sites have made changes this year in order to keep competitive.  While it is indeed a strain on the Site owners this is good news for you Dear Reader since you have more diverse and interesting choices than you had last year.  And I think that’s really what The Spanking Spot is all about.  Putting Spanko’s and Spanking Sites together. 

Given that the nominations for Most Improved Spanking Site  were a tie,  Your Humble Narrator really had to think about which one really deserved this years award.  And to tell you the truth there are arguments for both the sites this year.  But Dear Reader If it were up to me……

The winner of the Most Improved Spanking Site for 2008 is…..!  Real Life Spanking!

Given the two sites that ended up in a tie,  I was in bit of a quandary Dear Reader since I love both of them.  I chose to go with Real Life Spankings for a number of reasons.  First, when Your Humble Narrator first reviewed the site back in Nov 2007 I was a bit disappointed in the severity of the spankings.  They weren’t really “light’” but they really weren’t what I would call “hard” either.  Now it would be both wrong and arrogant to suggest that The Spanking Spot was the sole reason for the changes our Able Amsterdam Authoritarian (who incidentally is not from Amsterdam) implemented at Real Life Spanking.  But I know from conversations with him Yours Truly’s words did have “some” influence on him.  Now That might suggest that somehow Your Humble Narrator feels that his opinion is the only one and all spanking sites should be to his liking.  This I hope is not true Dear Reader for I do try to keep an objective look at all of our favorite spanking sites.  Though I will be the first to admit,  to simply ignore my bias is simply impossible.  So one can hope only to minimize it.  Second,  If our runner up is the spanking talent scout of North America, AAA has carved out himself a name for finding some of the hottest and most diverse spankee’s in the tiny country of Holland.  Add to that 3 full updates per week (no movie parts) and in High Def (720 x 400) you really have to be in awe of what these guys accomplished in one short year.  Dear Reader Please join me in congratulating Real Life Spanking on their achievement.

Runner Up Most Improved Spanking Site for 2008: Punished Brats!

Its was rather difficult to go with our winner this year rather than Punished Brats in this Category I suppose I made the choice I did simply because there were really not many area’s that Punished Brats Needed to improve on.  First this year, Punished Brats brought in a top notch photographer Eric Blair-Brown who aspired to and successfully recreated the spanking scenes of the magazines of yesteryear we all know and love.  I can say without any bias Dear Reader.  He is good,  He is very good.  Second as you might have recalled David Pierson and I had a spirited disagreement concerning the steady drumbeat of higher quality video’s among our Spanking Internet.  Now I respect David, He has been in this business a hell of a longer time then Yours Truly and manages and runs his very successful website.  But Dear Reader I felt that he was wrong on this point,  which from what he had told me a number of his cohorts had done as well.  Well whomever ended up convincing him (I know it wasn’t I)  My hats off to you for this year it looks as if Punished Brats has Upgraded their movie quality to 1500 kbs from the 768 they have been using for the past 2 years.  Also my hats off to David, whom after arguing so passionately his position realized perhaps the other position had some merit.  That Dear Reader is a hard thing for anyone to do.

Is it indeed Thursday again Dear Reader.  One would think these long winter days would make time seem still.  But it is quite the opposite.  Perhaps it is the holidays that are making the days speed by.  Just a couple of things before we start with our Spanking Updates of the Week.  First I must apologize to all of my non-English speaking readers.  It seems that despite what they say Google is indeed not to fond foreign language translators and for the past 6 months stubbornly refuses to rank The Spanking Spot for anything but a few keywords.  Its not that Your Humble Narrator writes The Spanking Spot for Google’s benefit but It is indeed frustrating having all this wonderful spanking material and not being able to share it outside this little community.  So I was unfortunately forced to pull down the auto translators.  Perhaps one day Google will allow us to deliver our content to the user in the way the user wants.
