The Demographics of Spanking and Spanking in the News

Your Humble Narrator is a bit of a numbers geek. Ever since I read Isaac Asimov’s Foundation series I was fascinated by the power of predictive models and statistics. Today I think my early studies have paid off. Perhaps like you Dear Reader, Yours Truly often thought about who we are, how many of us are out there, where do we tend to live etc… So Dear Reader I decided to to a little experiment. I took 1 full month of unique visitors that could be identified by state and compared them to the full populations to come out with a statistic that I call SPKP or Spanko’s per 100,000 people.

Now there are a couple of caveats here that one must know before he or she looks at these numbers. First I am 100% sure that these numbers grossly under estimate how many spanko’s are really out there. First this is only people who come to my site. Second there are an unknown number of spanko’s out there who never really put 2 and 2 together and thought if they had an interest there certainly must be someone else out there with the same. More then likely we are missing the elderly who probably never thought to type the word spanking into “The Google”. Men who like to be spanked probably don’t read this blog since it has a female spanking bent to it.

Knowing the above caveat’s aside I found some rather interesting things.

First Yours Truly almost first assumption about spanking is that southerners would be considerably more into spanking than other area’s turn out to be about as wrong as one can get. While I have never had the misfortune to live down in old Dixie From what people I have known told me about growing up down there, you were considered weird not to have been spanked into your early teens. Oddly though Dear Readers Spanko’s almost universally aren’t from the area. I should have actually known this since there have been reputable studies stating that being spanked as a child has no effect of you developing out little kink

Second Vermont really surprised me. I have always known Vermonters were simply Insane, But they also tend to like quite a bit of spanking during the cold snowy months. District of Columbia is kind of scaring me. Its either the Federal Porn Police or our politicians reading my site. Neither are a good thing Dear Reader. Alaska also surprised me. Perhaps Sara Palin is indeed a spanko!

I also was rather interested in the average income levels simply because they tend to suggest a higher education level. Our top 10 states are ranked 12.7 in income levels vs the bottom 10 states that average about 37 in income.

So what can this say about us as a group Dear Reader. Well We are predominantly from the North East or Central North East. We tend to make considerably more then those who do not like a good spanking now and then. And we are Largely educated.

Interesting to say the least.

Ok on to more amusing things. Spanking In the News. First we have evidence one among us is a iphone developer for this “application” In this one you start bouncing your legs like you’re on the back of a horse after putting the iPhone in your back pocket. You can, ahem, whip the horse by spanking yourself. Here is a very very interesting demonstration. I expect David Pierson to be rushing to his iphone right now to download this one.

Some news from our friends from Down Under. Apparently they have something called “Derby Day” Which I will assume has something to do with Derby’s. It also seems to be somewhat a time for the Australian women to dress up and show off at whatever Derby they are celebrating. Well at this years Derby thingy two rather attractive supermodels decided to put on a little show. Megan Gale uses the riding on Jennifer Hawkins Rather Nice Bottom

On another note apparently Dear Abby is alive and well in the UK and talks about Spanking as it is in Canada

On a very down note Dear Reader this kind of worried me. First because I never heard about it in the first place. And second for what it could mean to the community. Weldon Marc Gilbert a former USPS Pilot is apparently on trial for 32 charges involving 16 boys. Including producing child pornography(I assume Spanking), transporting a minor to engage in sexual activity and obstructing justice. They apparently found a “secret room” with just about anything a spanko would want. The room contained hidden tapes, spanking paddles, a spanking bench, boxes of videotapes and DVDs, ropes, canes, and two handguns, as well as other evidence. Not good Dear Reader, Not Good.

Correction! Gilbert is NOT the owner of Spanking Central. The owner of Spanking Central turned state evidence against Gilbert. I apologize to the owners of Spanking Central for the flub

In response to your demographics, there have been a few studies done that agree with your basic analysis. Dr. Gloria Brame did an online survey and reported that the average spanko is educated, religiously affiliated, usually makes better than average pay or owns a small business and is generally considered a respected member of the community by those who, I assume, do not know what they do in the bedroom. She found no regional bias that I am aware of. Of course, both studies are confounded by limiting themselves only to people who have internet access, which may have some effect on the education and income levels.
