Clare, Your quite a successful Spanking model and website owner. Can you tell me the story on how you got into the spanking business?
I was working at a dungeon in LA because I was burned out on teaching.. I had been thinking about producing and needing to find a great partner . My “cameraman” stopped by the dungeon looking for a female half for a site. He was a great spanker and brought a lot of energy to the table regarding a joint venture. He got my ass in gear.
Now having done many spanking videos for various production houses you have your own suite of sites and production house. Can you tell me how that came about?
See above. Yeah I talk a lot! But the different sites came about as we were working with different creative influences. We did start out just selling vids and moved on to subscription based sites.
I’ve always wondered about some of the technical aspects of running your own production house. Could you tell me a little about your interview process and how it occurs?
When interviewing the girls I am nice like you. I say they can cut any time if they are not comfortable with a question. Basically I make sure via email or phone before the shoot that they were spanked growing up- otherwise I work them for another site or see if they want to be a NEVER BEEN SPANKED- very hard to find!
When you’re interviewing a new girl for a possible role what do you look for? Just out of naïve curiosity do you “test spank” any of the new girls?
I look for a girl who is open, talkative girls are great, but it is fun to have shy girls open up with stories as well. I don’t want a girl who makes me feel dirty for asking her questions. This rarely ever happens but I am sure men know what I mean by saying some girls have a “none of your business” vibe. I ask them if they are comfortable being interviewed before I use them for Spanked Sweeties. As far as test spank- let me tell you- my partner gets everything on camera!! He doesn’t go for any of that, hehhe. It is a quick shoot we get them in, get the story , get them spanked and cut the check. I will say though that sometimes recruiting – say when I am at a dungeon or something I will spank my own ass to show her the level. I have also done this for a NEVER BEEN who has no concept and is very afraid.
Another thing that I always wondered about. Your myspace page said you were looking for “virgin spankee”. Your production quality is excellent so I know you spend some significant money on your shoots. So I wonder if you’re dealing with a potential spankee, how do you know that they won’t get cold feet or a red butt after the first spank?
HAHA, I do get ahead of myself with the chatter! I don’t know that- but we roll with it. Sometimes they lock up and the shoot is quite mediocre but we have had some GEMS like Kay Richards who go on to do more vids for us and the whole spanking world. It is hit or miss, pardon the pun. We also may have a girl who is the “bring it on” challenge us type and she ends up a bit marked and not even pacing herself due to the first time rush she is getting. With my first erotic spanking I let a guy use wood on me so I understand that.
Now you have had quite a career. Can you tell me about your first spanking scene, Who was it for, how old were you, had you ever been spanked before?
I would say my first real spanking scene was working at the Chateau in Los Angeles on my first day of work so I was about 30 or so. A guy purchased a session with me and spanked me with his hand, various paddles and hairbrush. He marked me and tipped. I had two more spanking sessions that day so I went home pretty marked up and had to hide my butt form my boyfriend all weekend.
Clare, I’ve seen some of your films. Are the spankings as painful as they appear on film? Is there one in particular you can remember?
On some days it can get to you more than others. My reactions are pretty genuine. I would not say I am a “pain slut” but the erotica of a spanking and if I have a good warm up I can take
a good one especially hand. The one I just did with Kelly Payne was intense but I grew to like it as I got numb. To be honest I mercy on about every shoot. It is my way of pacing myself and getting more out of the shoot.
Is there any one movie or scene you are particularly proud of?
I am proud of Exclusive Education because it was a lot to get 8 girls spanked. Damn just setting up the shoot was a bear. I liked the recent Desperate Measures with Shadowlane because it was a comedy of (no) manners but really delivered on the corporal. Danny Chrighton is always fun to work with –he’s a pro. All the male subs I have worked with have been so and of course the ladies. I am really proud of our discoveries, like Kay Richards, Paris Kennedy, Asia Berlin, the list of great girls goes on.
What is your favorite implement?

What is your least favorite implement?

Oh, I so cannot answer that fairly. I am a straight chick so far so I want to say a guy but as far as shoots- I prefer being spanked by a woman.

Well I should be spanked for jumping the gun again here. On camera I feel a bit safer with the ladies as far as I can pace myself and we can have a great shoot. In real life I like the edge of a man being in control. That being said I have never had a real life erotic spanking from a woman.

My interest in exhibitionism started early but I experienced very little spanking growing up. I did have submissive tendencies early on though.
