The Spanking News and Some Blog Love
This news Dear Reader is slightly off topic but it does effect some of our hard working Spanking Producers. It seems some idiot in the California State Legislature one Assemblyman Charles Calderon has proposed that California levy a 25% tax on "sale, storage and use of adult films, videos and payper view. It also taxes the income of strip clubs. Considering probably 80% of adult material gets filmed in California I would doubt this would be passed. Our genius here states that the tax will offset "negative effects of adult entertainment, including crime and health care costs". I am not sure about you Dear Reader, but the first thing that comes to mind while enjoying a spanking or other adult content is not to go out and rob a bank. Ah but perhaps he is referring to prostitution which in fairness does tend to proliferate around "adult entertainment". But again perhaps again these idiots should put their tiny minds to work and perhaps realize that Prostitution wouldn’t be a crime if they they pulled their heads out of their asses and made it legal! This of course would also offset the "health care costs" since you could regulate it. oh and you could also tax it. Ah but such lovely logic wouldn’t never work on a zealot.
Now about this time I would normally be making fun of my nanny state brethren from the left coast. But something I head about this week has really redeemed California from my usual rant concerning them trying to make everything unhealthy, illegal while the showbiz industry they so desperately support snort coke by the metric ton. Dear Readers in San Francisco you can indeed be proud for there is one of you gaining signatures for the best ballot initiative ever. It seems that this gentleman is trying to get the San Francisco sewage plant named after my favorite person, The George W Bush Memorial Sewage plant! I for one support honoring our great president with such a fitting memorial. In fact I would gladly bring it further Perhaps Sen Larry Craig Sperm donation center and of course renaming all the Planned Parenthood Clinic’s Pat Robertson Baby Prevention Centers.
